What we manufacture

A custom clothing manufacturer for UK brands and businesses

Most of our customers come to us for one of three reasons. A clothing brand needs a manufacturer that will make its own designs in small first runs and grow with it. A club, school or society needs one design in thirty sizes, often with a name on every garment. A company needs uniforms or merch that staff will actually wear. All three are custom clothing made to order: nothing is picked from a stock catalogue and overprinted.

Velocity Wear is the trading name of Spiderhunts Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Production is by our own team in Lahore, Pakistan, which is where the cutting, sewing, printing and embroidery happen; you can see it on the factory page. You deal with one company from quote to delivery, pay in pounds or one of six other currencies, and get a proof to approve before anything is made.

What we manufacture

Apparel: custom hoodies in brushed fleece from 280 to 450 GSM (from £30 each), custom t-shirts in combed ring-spun cotton from 150 to 240 GSM (from £11), polo shirts with your logo in piqué or performance blends (from £15), tracksuits as matching sets (from £50 per set) and joggers.

Outerwear: custom jackets including softshell, puffer, varsity, rain, fleece, hi-vis and gilets; denim jackets in 8 to 14 oz denim (from £45); and real leather jackets, made to order (from £150); our leather jacket buying guide explains the leathers and styles.

Teams and workplaces: sportswear and sports jerseys with names and numbers, corporate uniforms from £30 a piece, caps and hats from £12, and embroidered towels for gyms, spas and hotels from £12 a towel. The catalogue shows real photos of finished pieces.

Printing and embroidery options

The decoration is chosen for the design and the garment, not the other way round. This is how the main methods compare; each links to its own page, and the logo placement guide covers where each one sits on the garment.

Wholesale and bulk orders

The minimum is 50 pieces per design, and sizes can be mixed freely inside it, so fifty hoodies can be eight smalls, twenty mediums and twenty-two larges. Each colourway of a garment counts as its own design. Above the minimum the price per piece steps down, up to 35% off at 1,000 pieces or more, on every range that shows a starting price. See the wholesale ranges or work out a figure on the pricing page.

Private label and custom labels

For a brand that sells what we make, the label matters as much as the print. We add woven neck labels, printed neck tags, care labels, hang cards and branded packaging, so the garment arrives ready to sell under your name. See private label clothing, or cut and sew when the garment itself is your own pattern.

Who we make clothing for

Each has its own page: clothing brands, sports clubs, gyms and fitness, corporate clothing, schools and leavers and events.

  • New and growing clothing brands, from a first drop of fifty pieces
  • Sports clubs, teams and academies, with names and numbers
  • Gyms, studios and activewear brands
  • Companies, offices and hospitality teams needing uniforms
  • Schools, colleges and societies, including leavers hoodies
  • Events, festivals, bands and charities needing merch

How to choose a clothing manufacturer in the UK

There is no single best clothing manufacturer in the UK: the right one is the one whose minimums, lead times and methods fit your order. Whoever you are talking to, including us, these are the questions worth asking before you pay a deposit.

  • What is the minimum per design, and can sizes be mixed inside it?
  • Will I see a proof, and can I order a sample before the bulk run?
  • How long is production after I approve, and how is delivery charged?
  • Where is the clothing actually made, and by whom?
  • What are the payment terms, and what happens if something is wrong?
  • Which certifications, if any, does the factory hold? Ask to see them.

Our answers to those questions

Minimum 50 pieces per design, sizes mixed. A proof on every order, and a sample of one or two pieces for £150 including shipping, credited against the bulk order (leather jackets have no single-piece samples). Production takes 10 to 15 working days after the proof is approved. Payment is 50% when the order is placed and 50% once the order is ready to ship. Delivery is charged on the weight and dimensions of the shipment and quoted with your order, separately from the product price.

Production is in Lahore, by our own team, and the business is a UK company. That combination is why pricing at fifty pieces is workable for a new brand; the trade-off is that delivery to the UK takes longer than a local print shop and is charged separately. The guide to choosing a clothing manufacturer goes through the checklist in more depth.
