Which hoodies do you print on?
We print on combed, ring-spun, brushed-back fleece hoodies from 280 to 450 GSM, pre-shrunk and colour-locked. Around 300 to 340 GSM suits everyday retail, merch and staff hoodies; 380 to 450 GSM heavyweight fleece gives the dense, structured feel premium streetwear customers expect. Hoods are double-layer with ribbed cuffs, in classic, boxy and oversized fits, as pullovers, full-zip or quarter-zip, in unisex and fitted women's cuts.

Hoodie printing methods compared
Fleece is thicker and softer than a tee, so the method matters. Read more about puff print and 3D puff embroidery, embroidered logos and screen printing; we confirm the right method for your artwork and hoodie weight in the quote.
Decoration methods on hoodies| Method | Best for | Feel and look | Durability |
|---|
| Screen print | Bold logos and back prints in a few colours | Solid, opaque colour; softer with water-based ink | Very hard-wearing on fleece |
|---|
| DTF | Full-colour art, photos and gradients | Sharp detail in a thin layer on the surface | Durable when washed inside out |
|---|
| Puff print | Raised streetwear graphics and chunky lettering | Ink rises as it cures for a soft 3D texture | Holds up well with gentle washing |
|---|
| Embroidery | Chest logos, crests and premium branding | Stitched and tactile, flat or 3D puff | The most durable: does not crack or fade |

Back prints, sleeves and hood placements
A hoodie gives you more room than a tee. The full back takes the largest print, and it is where most streetwear graphics, club names and event lists go. Left chest, centre chest, sleeves and the side of the hood all work for smaller marks, and many brands pair an embroidered chest logo with a printed back. On a full-zip hoodie a print cannot cross the zip, so the main design usually moves to the back. The mockup shows each placement at its real size. The logo placement guide shows the standard positions and sizes.
Names on the back for clubs and leavers
Each hoodie can carry its own name inside one run. You send a list of names against sizes, the design is set once, and every hoodie comes back with its owner's name, usually across the back beneath the club or year. Numbers work the same way for teams. It is how we make leavers hoodies for schools and club hoodies for sports teams, with the 50-piece minimum counted across the whole design.
Hoodie printing in London
If you are looking for hoodie printing in London, we work the same way as for the rest of the UK. We have no premises in London, so there is no shop or collection point: hoodies are made by our production team and shipped tracked to any London address, with delivery quoted on weight and dimensions. Streetwear labels, universities, agencies and clubs in the capital get the same hoodies, methods, minimum and lead time. Our London page covers ordering and delivery to the city. Hoodie orders reach Rotherham and South Yorkshire, Nottingham and Cardiff the same way.
What artwork do you need for a printed hoodie?
Send logos and lettering as vector files (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG). For photos, illustrations and DTF, a 300 dpi file at the printed size with a transparent background gives the cleanest result. For puff print, keep shapes bold, because thin lines and small text do not rise well. Give Pantone references for brand colours, and tell us the placement and size you want for each position.
What sets the price of a printed hoodie?
Printed hoodies start from £30 each at 50 pieces. The fleece weight and fit, the method and number of colours, how many positions are printed or embroidered, and any names or numbers are priced on top, while tiered volume pricing takes up to 35% off at 1,000 pieces or more. Custom neck labels and branded packaging are optional extras. The quote itemises every line, so you can see where the money goes.
Caring for a printed hoodie
Wash inside out on a cool wash, skip the tumble dryer where you can, and never iron directly over a print or puff print. Embroidery is the most forgiving and washes as normal. Brushed fleece keeps its soft feel longest when it is not dried on high heat. Follow the care label for the fabric itself.
