Embroidery is decoration made of thread. A computer-controlled machine stitches the design into the fabric from a digitised file, layer by layer, with each colour in its own thread. The result is raised and textured, part of the garment rather than a layer on top, which is why embroidered logo clothing reads as premium and keeps its look for the life of the garment.
Custom embroidery is stitched on our Tajima embroidery machines by our own production team. The steps are the same for a run of polos or a run of caps:
For chest logos on uniforms, polos and caps, and for anything washed often or worn outdoors. A stitched logo does not crack, peel or fade, and it reads as premium. For very large or full-colour designs, a print is usually better.
The strengths: it is the most durable decoration we offer, it survives the heavy washing that fades a print, and the raised thread looks and feels premium. Once a logo is digitised it is kept on file, so every reorder stitches the same way.
The limits: very thin lines and small lettering blur in thread, photographs and gradients cannot be stitched, and a large design becomes heavy, stiff and costly, because the price follows the stitch count. Thin, light fabrics can pucker under a dense logo. For those jobs a DTF print or a screen print is usually the better choice.

Digitising turns your logo into a stitch file that tells the machine where each stitch goes. A good file is what makes small text and fine detail stitch cleanly. It is done once per logo and kept on file for reorders.
Up to a point: very thin lines and very small lettering blur when stitched. We check your artwork at the size you want and suggest adjustments on the mockup before anything is sewn.

Embroidery is the most hard-wearing decoration on a garment. To keep it looking new, wash inside out at the temperature on the care label, avoid bleach, tumble dry low or line dry, and iron on the reverse of the design rather than over the stitches.

You get a digital mockup and an itemised quote. Minimum order: 50 pieces per design (10 for leather jackets, for a limited time), sizes mixed freely.
£150 for one or two samples, worldwide shipping included. Place a bulk order afterwards and the £150 comes off your invoice.
Production takes 10 to 15 working days from proof approval and the 50% deposit, before freight. Payment is 50% when the order is placed and 50% once the order is ready to ship. Tracked freight worldwide. Delivery is charged on the weight and dimensions of the shipment and quoted with your order, separately from the product price. Import duties, taxes and customs charges at destination are the recipient's responsibility.

Thread comes in set shades rather than being mixed to order, so matching a brand colour on a cap is a choice of nearest thread, made on the proof and checked in hand.

There are three ways to put a brand on a cotton towel, and the right one depends less on the logo itself than on how often the towel is washed and who sees it.

Yes. A stitched logo does not crack, peel or fade with washing, which is why it is the standard for uniforms, workwear, caps and towels. A print can last well with care, but thread holds its colour and shape through the frequent, hot washing that work clothing goes through.

Yes. Embroidered logos and woven labels are both available on wholesale towels. Embroidery suits the thick pile of a gym, spa or hotel towel well, usually as a logo near one end or a corner, and the placement is shown on the mockup before production.
Yes. Caps are one of the most common embroidery jobs: the front panel takes a flat or 3D puff logo, and the sides and back can take smaller marks. Beanies take a flat embroidered logo on the fold. Bold shapes work best on curved panels, and we confirm sizes on the mockup.
