Private label vs white label clothing

White label usually means a finished, generic product that several sellers rebrand, often just by swapping the neck label. Private label goes further: the product is specified and branded for you alone, from the fabric weight and fit to the print, labels and packaging. Decorating a stock garment and adding your labels is the quicker route; cut and sew gives you a garment made to your own pattern.

How does a private label order start?

Tell us the garment, fit, fabric weight and colour, and send your logo and label artwork. You approve a mockup and quote, can order a £150 sample of one or two pieces, then place the bulk order. Production takes 10 to 15 working days from proof approval and the 50% deposit, and the balance is due when the order is ready to ship.

Can I use a custom fit or my own design?

The strengths: your brand on every touchpoint, control over fabric, fit and finish, a margin you set yourself, and reorders that match because the specification is on file.

The trade-offs: you hold stock, so 50 pieces per design is a real commitment; sampling adds time and the £150 fee, although it is credited against the bulk order; labels and packaging add a little per piece; and production takes 10 to 15 working days plus transit, so plan each drop ahead.
