Screen Printing Service

Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh screen, one screen per colour, onto the garment. It gives the boldest, most opaque and longest-lasting print for designs with a limited number of solid colours, and it gets better value the more pieces you print. We screen print with plastisol and water-based inks.

When is screen printing the right choice?

When the design has a limited number of solid colours and you are printing a run of the same design. Each colour needs its own screen, so setup is fixed per colour and the cost per piece falls as the quantity rises. For full-colour or photographic art, DTF is usually the better fit.

  • Logos and bold graphics
  • Volume runs of one design
  • Dark garments needing opaque colour

Plastisol or water-based ink?

Plastisol sits on top of the fabric and gives bright, opaque colour, especially on dark garments. Water-based ink soaks into the fibres for a softer, lighter feel that is barely noticeable to the touch. We recommend one for your design and garment in the quote.

What should I send for screen printing?

Vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) with the colours you want. Pantone references help us match brand colours. Every design is proofed on a digital mockup before a screen is made.

Can screen printing do special effects?

Puff print, which rises off the fabric as it cures, is one; see the 3D puff page. Ask about other effects in your enquiry and we confirm what suits the garment.
