50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Branded gym towels are quoted per job rather than carrying a published from-price, because size, weight band and branding method each move the number independently. The minimum is 50 pieces per design and the volume discount reaches up to 35 per cent as quantity climbs through the tiers. Delivery, bagging and labelling are separate lines on top of the towel itself.

Why is a gym towel quoted rather than listed?

Because two gyms asking for a branded towel are frequently asking for different products. A sports size at a lighter gym weight with a woven border mark, and a bath size at a hotel weight with embroidery, are not variations of one item. A single published price would be wrong for almost everybody who asked.

So the quote starts from a specification. Give the finished dimensions, the weight band, the branding method and the quantity, and the number that comes back is one you can plan against. The options are set out on the wholesale towels page, and what gym kit programmes usually involve is on the gyms and fitness page.

Weight and size drive the price more than the logo does.

How does the price move as the quantity rises?

Steadily, and further than most buyers expect. The towel cost falls as the run grows, while the fixed costs of setting up the decoration stay flat and spread over more pieces. From the 50-piece minimum, the discount rises through the bands to a ceiling of 35 per cent, so the step from a small run to a medium one is where most of the saving lives.

For a gym that washes towels daily, ordering deeper usually pays, because the stock turns over and gets replaced anyway. Ask for the price at three quantities in the same quote so the decision is visible rather than theoretical. A broader picture of towel pricing is in what wholesale towels actually cost.

Be careful comparing a quote at one quantity against a quote at another, which is the most common way a towel decision goes wrong. Ask every supplier to price the same specification at the same three quantities, and to state the GSM figure in numbers while they do it. Without that you are comparing a lighter towel at 500 pieces against a heavier one at 100 and reading the difference as a discount.

What else lands on the invoice?

The £150 sample, credited against the bulk order. Delivery, which on towels is a real figure rather than a rounding error because of the volume. Any individual bagging. Woven tabs and care labels. And a second colourway, if it needs its own screens, which counts as a separate design with its own 50-piece minimum.

Ask for all of that itemised. An itemised quote shows where a change in specification would save money, and on a towel job the savings are usually in the packing and the second position rather than in the cloth. Invoicing is available in seven currencies, so confirm which one the figures are expressed in.

How do you keep the cost per use low?

Buy the weight that matches the laundry, not the weight that feels most luxurious in the showroom. A heavy towel in a fast rotation never fully dries, starts smelling and gets thrown out early, which makes it the expensive option however good the unit price looked.

Woven branding also outlasts print in a commercial laundry, which matters when the same towel goes through several hundred cycles. Divide the total by the number of washes you will actually get, not by the piece count. How gyms typically specify and run their towel stock is described in personalised gym towels for gyms.

Losses belong in the cost as well. Towels walk out of gyms, and a site with open access loses far more of them than one handing towels over at a desk. Whatever the piece price said, the figure that matters to your budget is the cost per towel still in the building at the end of the quarter.

Common questions about towels — answered.

No published one. Towels are quoted per job because size, weight and branding method move the cost independently of each other.

Fifty pieces per design. Colours can be mixed inside the 50 where the artwork and screens are identical across the whole run.

The volume discount reaches up to 35 per cent as quantity rises from the 50-piece minimum through the tiers. Ask for three quantities priced on one quote.

They price differently and the gap depends on the artwork and the position. Ask for both on the quote so the comparison is against your own logo rather than a general rule.
