Our five towel sizes are gym 30 × 80 cm (12 × 31 in), face 40 × 60 cm (16 × 24 in), hand 45 × 75 cm (18 × 30 in), bath 70 × 140 cm (28 × 55 in) and bath sheet 90 × 180 cm (35 × 71 in). All are 100% combed cotton, branded by embroidery or woven label, from 50 pieces per design in 10 to 15 working days.

Here is every size in the Velocity Wear towel range with its GSM (grams per square metre, the density of the cotton), typical weight and use. All five are reactive-dyed and wash-tested, with reinforced hems.

Weights carry a ≈ because cotton pile varies slightly between towels. Branded prices, per piece and FOB with the logo included, are £4.50 gym, £6.50 hand and £8 bath; face towels and bath sheets are quoted. Towel embroidery cost in bulk explains the volume tiers.
Bath sheet vs bath towel: what is the difference?
A bath sheet is bigger and heavier: 90 × 180 cm at 650 GSM and about 950 g, against 70 × 140 cm at 550 GSM and about 600 g for a bath towel. That is roughly two-thirds more fabric by area.
The bath sheet wraps the whole body and suits hotels, resorts, pools and beaches. The bath towel is the everyday size for spas, sports clubs and home bathrooms: easier to fold, quicker to dry and lighter in the laundry, which matters where washing is paid for by weight. US listings sometimes call a bath sheet an oversized bath towel.
What size is a hand towel?
Our hand towel is 45 × 75 cm (18 × 30 in) at 500 GSM, about 200 g. It is the workhorse for salons and washrooms, where towels are used for hands and face and washed after almost every use, and it costs £6.50 branded.
The face towel is smaller at 40 × 60 cm (16 × 24 in) and 450 GSM, about 160 g, used as a guest towel or in spas, and quoted per order. It is a rectangle, not the small square washcloth of US bathroom sets, so do not order it expecting a flannel.
What size is a gym towel?
A gym towel is 30 × 80 cm (12 × 31 in) at 450 GSM, about 130 g. The long, narrow shape drapes over a bench or a shoulder, and the light weight lets it dry between sessions instead of sitting damp in a bag.

Which towel sizes should a business order?
Order by where each towel is used rather than buying the full set. Most businesses need two sizes, occasionally three.
- Gyms and studios: gym towels for the floor, bath towels if there are showers.
- Salons and barbers: hand towels, enough to cover a full day between washes.
- Spas: face towels for treatment rooms, bath towels or bath sheets for pools and changing areas.
- Hotels and holiday lets: hand towels and bath sheets, with face towels as guest towels.
- Sports clubs and events: gym towels for the bench, bath towels for changing rooms.
