50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Branded hotel towels take 10 to 15 working days in production, counted from artwork approval, with delivery transit added afterwards. For a property that means the order date is not the delivery date minus three weeks. It is the delivery date minus production, minus transit, minus the sample round, minus the time your own team takes to sign the artwork off.

What is the production window for hotel towels?

Ten to fifteen working days, and the same window applies whether you are ordering fifty towels or several thousand of one design. That surprises buyers who expect a large order to take proportionally longer, but the bulk of the window is setup and finishing rather than raw throughput. The practical implication is that consolidating a programme into one run rarely costs you time, and often saves it against three separate rounds of approval.

Transit is separate and depends on destination. We deliver to the UK, the USA and Europe, and a property should ask for the transit estimate at quote stage rather than assuming it. The wholesale towels page covers the specification decisions that precede all of this, and it is worth settling those before anyone starts counting days.

The production window is fixed; everything either side of it is planning.

How does a linen rotation change the order date?

A hotel never runs one set of towels per room. There is the set in the room, the set in the laundry, and the set on the shelf, and a property that orders only what the rooms hold has ordered a third of what it needs. This matters for timing because it changes the failure mode: running short on a rotation does not mean empty shelves, it means pulling worn towels back into service earlier than you should.

Build the reorder trigger around the rotation rather than around the room count. When one full set has degraded to the point where you would not put it in a superior room, that is the signal to order, and you have the buffer of the remaining sets to cover the production window. Ordering at that point rather than when the last set fails is what keeps the guest-facing standard steady.

What should be ready before the clock starts?

The approval date is the only date that matters, so everything that gates it should be done first.

  1. 1Vector artwork for the logo, at the size it will be applied, not a JPEG pulled from the website.
  2. 2A confirmed colour, referenced to something physical rather than described in words.
  3. 3Confirmed weight and finished dimensions for each format in the order.
  4. 4A named person with authority to approve, and a deputy for when they are away.
  5. 5The £150 sample ordered and assessed, if the specification is new to you.

Properties that have these five ready move from quote to approval in days. Properties that do not can spend longer on that stage than the production run itself takes. The general shape of an apparel timeline is set out in apparel production lead times explained, and the cost side of the same order is in what hotels pay for branded towels.

When should a new property place its towel order?

Early, and earlier than feels necessary. Towels store perfectly in a box and nothing about them expires, so there is no penalty for having them on site weeks before opening. The penalty runs entirely the other way: a property that opens with unbranded stock because the real order is still in production has spent the money and lost the benefit for the most photographed weeks of its life.

For a refurbishment rather than an opening, tie the towel order to the date the rooms come back into service, not to the date the builders finish. Those are rarely the same week.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about towels — answered.

The 10 to 15 working day window is what we can repeat reliably, so we quote it rather than promising faster. The compressible part of the timeline is everything before artwork approval.

Not materially. The production window is broadly the same across quantities, because setup and finishing account for most of it rather than raw output.

Work back from the date rooms go live, allowing the production window, transit, a sample round and internal approval, then add a buffer of at least two weeks on top.

No, transit sits on top of production and varies by destination across the UK, the USA and Europe. Ask for the delivery estimate when you ask for the quote.
