Personalised caps with your logo start at $12 a piece at 50 caps per design, with the logo applied as flat or 3D puff embroidery, a woven or leather-look patch, or a print for full-colour artwork. Velocity Wear makes snapbacks, dad caps, truckers, fitted caps, 5-panels and beanies to order in 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval, then ships to your UK address with tracked freight.

Which cap style should you personalise?

Choose the style by who will wear it, then fit the logo to the style. A structured cap has buckram, a stiff interlining, behind the front panels, so it holds a raised logo upright; an unstructured cap folds softly and suits a smaller, flatter mark. Every style except fitted caps and beanies is one size with an adjustable closure, so there is no size survey.

Embroidery, patch or print: how should the logo go on?

For most logos, embroidery: it is stitched into the cap, cannot crack or peel and stands up to daily wear. Flat embroidery lies close to the fabric and handles lettering well. 3D puff embroidery stitches over a foam layer, so a bold logo stands raised off a structured front.

Patches suit designs that embroidery would flatten. A woven patch holds finer detail than direct stitching, a leather-look patch gives a heritage feel, and printing handles full-colour or photographic artwork. Woven, leather-look and embroidered patch hats compares the patch types, and custom hat design ideas shows how methods combine.

How much do personalised caps cost?

From $12 a piece at 50 caps, falling at each volume tier: 50–99, 100–249, 250–499, 500–999 and 1,000+. At the top tier you pay up to 35% less than the 50-piece rate. Decoration, extra logo positions and custom details decide where a quote sits, which what moves the price of a custom hat breaks down line by line.

The from-price is in US dollars, but UK buyers can be invoiced in GBP, with EUR, CAD, AED, SEK and DKK also available. The 50 minimum counts per design, not per order, so two logos means two runs of 50, and head sizes on fitted caps mix freely within them.

How long do branded caps take to reach a UK address?

Production takes 10 to 15 working days from your approval of the artwork proof, with tracked freight to your UK address quoted on top. The proof shows the logo on the cap at size and in thread colours before anything is stitched, so for a fixed date, count back and leave a few days for sign-off. A sample costs £150 for one or two pieces, worldwide shipping included, credited against the bulk order. How custom caps are made explains what happens between proof and dispatch.

Who orders branded caps, and what for?

Branded caps get ordered for five broad jobs, and each needs something different from the cap.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about caps — answered.

Most personalised caps do not. Snapbacks, dad caps, trucker caps and 5-panels are one size with an adjustable closure, so there is no size survey before ordering. Fitted caps are the exception: they have a closed back and are made in head sizes, which can be mixed freely inside the 50-piece minimum.

The minimum for personalised caps is 50 pieces per design. A design is one set of artwork, so the same logo on 50 caps is one run, while a second logo or different wording is a second run of 50. More of one design moves the price into a lower tier, up to 35% off at 1,000 caps.

Yes. Velocity Wear invoices branded cap orders in GBP for UK buyers, and also in USD, EUR, CAD, AED, SEK and DKK. The published from-price of $12 a piece at 50 caps is in US dollars, and your quote confirms the figure along with tracked freight to your UK address.

Embroidery is the standard choice for a personalised cap because it is stitched into the fabric and survives daily wear, and 3D puff raises a bold logo off the front. A woven patch is better when the logo has fine detail, a leather-look patch suits a heritage look, and full-colour artwork is printed.

A sample is worth it when fit, colour or the finish of a patch matters. Samples of personalised caps cost £150 for one or two pieces with worldwide shipping included, and the £150 is credited against the bulk order placed afterwards. For a simple logo on a standard cap, the artwork proof is often enough.
