How should a student society order merch keyrings?
Start with one design at 50 pieces. A society with 60 members can cover most of them in the first year and top up later, and an undated design keeps any spares useful for next year's fair. Committees change every year, so keep the approved proof and the order details with the society's handover notes; the next committee can then reorder the same design without starting the artwork again. A second design, such as one for the society's sports team, is its own run of 50.
When should a university order for freshers' week?
Before students leave for the summer. Freshers' week falls in mid to late September at most UK universities, and the people who approve a proof, from SU officers to brand teams, are hardest to reach in August. Count back from the fair: freight, then 10 to 15 working days of production, then sign-off. Aiming to approve artwork by early July leaves room for a sample and a margin. Open days in June and July need the enquiry in spring.
Are metal keychains right for alumni gifts?
They suit the moments where a university wants to say thank you rather than welcome. A brushed or plated metal tag with the crest laser engraved, on a premium split ring and in a gift box, works for graduation, reunion dinners and donor events.
