50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

The minimum for jackets and outerwear is fifty pieces per design. Sizes mix freely inside that fifty — an order of five smalls, twenty mediums, twenty larges and five XLs is one order, not four. What splits an order is the design: a new colourway needing its own screens, or different artwork, is a separate fifty.

Does the fifty count sizes or designs?

Designs. The fifty is a production run of one thing, and sizes are just how that run is cut. Buyers coming from a catalogue supplier find this backwards, because there the constraint is stock and here it is setup. Nothing sits on a shelf waiting for you; the run is made, and the cost of setting it up is what the minimum protects.

That is also why weighting the sizes costs nothing. Order the fifty to match the people who will wear it rather than to a tidy grid. The wholesale jackets page lists the size ranges by style.

What counts as a separate design?

  • Different artwork, including a changed name, year or department line.
  • A colourway that needs its own screens.
  • A different shell — a softshell and a puffer are two garments, not two versions of one.
  • A different decoration method applied to the same mark.

What does not split the order: sizes, individual names or numbers applied per garment, and the same artwork placed identically on every piece. If you are unsure, the test is whether the factory has to set up twice.

How do you reach fifty if your team is small?

Four routes, in rough order of how often they work. Order for several years and store the surplus in the sizes that turn over. Widen the design so it covers staff, volunteers and anyone else who would wear it. Group several sites, branches or teams into one order. Or sell the balance to the people who follow you, which suits clubs, cafes and brands more than it does offices.

The route that does not work is splitting one order into two half-sized designs. Each carries its own fifty, so the total goes up rather than down.

Is there a reason to order more than fifty?

Cost. Fifty is the most expensive per piece you will ever pay, and the discount rises to 35% as quantity moves through the 100–249, 250–499, 500–999 and 1,000+ tiers. A buyer sitting just below a boundary often finds the larger quantity costs less in total. The pricing page shows how the tiers are laid out, what outerwear costs goes through what else moves the number, and offices in particular tend to buy once and issue over time, a pattern covered in outerwear for offices.

How does the minimum compare with the rest of the range?

It is the same fifty everywhere. T-shirts, caps, polo shirts, corporate uniforms, joggers, hoodies, denim jackets and tracksuits all start at fifty per design, and so do the items quoted per job — jackets, towels, polythene bags, bottles and keychains. What changes between them is the price, not the threshold.

That consistency is useful when an order covers several products. Fifty jackets, fifty hoodies and fifty caps are three designs and three minimums, but they are one artwork round, one production window of 10–15 working days and one delivery. Buyers who plan a year of kit in a single conversation get the benefit of that; buyers who order item by item repeat the setup each time.

The thing to watch across a multi-product order is colourways, which multiply quietly. Two shades of three products is six designs, and six minimums, before anybody has changed a logo.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about workwear — answered.

No. Fifty pieces per design is the minimum, because each run is made to order rather than picked from stock. Smaller quantities do not cover the setup that every run carries.

No. A sample is £150, made individually, and it is credited against the bulk order rather than deducted from the quantity. The fifty is still fifty.

Yes, as long as the artwork is identical on every piece. Add a department line to one version and it becomes a second design with its own fifty.

No. A repeat run is a fresh production run, so it carries the same fifty-piece minimum. Ordering a larger quantity once is cheaper than placing two runs of fifty.
