50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Salons and barbers order hoodies at 50 pieces per design, from $31 each, produced in 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval. The specific problem in this trade is chemical rather than commercial: bleach, developer and colour will find the kit, so the colour you pick and the way you brand it decide whether the hoodie looks professional in month six.

What does bleach actually do to a salon hoodie?

It lifts the dye, permanently, in orange or pink patches depending on the base colour. No fabric prevents it. What you can do is choose a colour where it shows least and a branding method that is not sitting where the splashes land. Black shows bleach marks worst of all, which is counter-intuitive but true. Mid greys, marls and mid blues disguise a small lift far better. Keep the branding off the forearms and the lower front, since that is where product transfers when you lean over a basin. A chest mark high on the left survives longest.

Fabric weight matters less here than it does in most trades, because a salon floor is warm and the hoodie is worn indoors. The 280 to 320 GSM end of the range is comfortable behind a chair and washes and dries overnight, which is what you want from a garment that meets product every day. Heavier fleece only earns its place if staff are stepping outside between clients, and the weight trade-offs are compared in choosing fabric for wholesale hoodies.

Should the salon hoodie be uniform or something you sell?

Those are different garments and, because the minimum is per design, different orders. Uniform is chosen for the chemicals: practical colour, small embroidered logo, classic fit that looks tidy behind a chair. Retail stock is chosen for the customer: an oversized fit, a design people would wear without knowing the shop, and a heavier fabric because the buyer is paying for the feel. Barbers in particular sell retail hoodies well, since the shop functions as a brand. Do not try to make one garment serve both purposes; it ends up as a uniform with a print that staff quietly stop wearing.

How does hoodie kit sit alongside towels and the rest?

Towels go through the machine daily and hoodies do not, so they run on completely different replacement cycles and should be budgeted separately. The useful overlap is the ordering moment: placing hoodies and branded towels in the same window means one delivery and one round of approvals rather than two. Colour matching across the two is worth thinking about, because a mid-grey towel and a mid-grey hoodie from separate runs will not be the same grey. If that matters to you, say so at quoting stage. The rest of the salon kit list sits on the salons and barbers page.

What does a three-chair salon do about 50 pieces?

Treats the surplus as retail or as two years of uniform. A team of five needs perhaps fifteen hoodies to run properly, two each plus spares. The other 35 either go on a shelf at a retail price or stay in a box as replacements as staff change. Which of those you choose should be decided before you order, because it changes the design and the size spread. A retail-facing run needs the wider size range; a two-year uniform buffer only needs the sizes your staff actually wear. The from-price and the quantity tiers are on the wholesale hoodies page, where the discount runs up to 35% off the 50-piece rate.

Common questions about custom hoodies — answered.

Embroidery, because thread does not lift the way a printed layer can when product splashes on it. Keep the stitch count modest and place it high on the chest.

Only as two separate runs of 50, since the minimum applies per design. Most independent salons start with the uniform version and add a retail design once it is selling.

Six weeks is comfortable. Production is 10 to 15 working days after artwork approval, and shopfitting deadlines slip more often than print deadlines do.

Yes. A sample is £150 and comes off the bulk invoice when you place the order, which is the sensible route if your logo has fine lettering.
