50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Hotels buy denim jackets the same way they buy any front-of-house garment: fifty pieces per design, from $38 each, with sizes mixed however the rota needs. Washed denim suits spa and restaurant teams because it looks settled from the first shift. Rigid denim holds a sharper shoulder for door and valet staff. Embroidery outlasts print through an industrial laundry cycle.

Why do hotels put front-of-house teams in denim?

Denim reads as uniform without reading as costume. A jacket worn over a shirt gives a concierge desk, a spa reception or a rooftop bar one recognisable layer, and it does that without the stiffness of a tailored blazer. It also ages in the right direction. Cotton twill looks tired after six months of shift wear; denim simply softens and keeps its shape. That matters in a property where a guest sees the same member of staff four or five times across a stay. The fabric options and the from-price at the fifty-piece minimum are set out on our wholesale denim jackets page.

A jacket is one layer of a wider front-of-house wardrobe, and it specifies best alongside the rest of it rather than on its own. Shirts, aprons and spa robes all sit in the same budget line and the same laundry cycle, and our guide to custom apparel for hotels covers how the pieces fit together across departments.

How does denim survive a hotel laundry rotation?

Hotel laundry is harder on fabric than domestic washing, and the jackets travel through it alongside the linen. Two decisions protect the garment. The first is decoration: embroidered thread and stitched patches come through industrial cycles intact, whereas a large printed graphic across the back panel is the part that cracks first. The second is colour. A mid or dark indigo hides the marks a service floor produces, while a pale wash shows every coffee ring by week three. If your property already orders wholesale towels into the same rotation, ask the housekeeping manager what temperature that cycle runs at before you choose a wash.

Washed or rigid for a guest-facing team?

Washed denim arrives soft and needs no breaking in, which is the sensible choice when a seasonal team starts on Monday and is on the floor by Tuesday. Rigid denim starts stiff, holds a structured shoulder and settles into the wearer over a few weeks. Spa and food and beverage teams generally prefer the washed version. Door and valet teams, who want the jacket to look deliberate rather than casual, usually go rigid. Only one of the two can run inside a single fifty-piece design, so make that call before artwork rather than after the screens are set.

One consideration specific to hospitality: the jacket has to work over whatever the department already wears. A concierge in a shirt and tie needs room through the shoulder that a spa therapist in a polo does not, and ordering one cut for both usually leaves one of them uncomfortable. Check the layering before you fix the size breakdown, because on denim the shoulder is the measurement that decides whether a jacket gets worn or left on a hook.

How many jackets does a property actually need?

Count heads, then add a margin. A department of thirty people needs more than thirty jackets, because someone starts, someone leaves and one gets ruined in month two. Fifty is the minimum per design in any case, so a mid-sized property normally orders the fifty and holds the balance as replacement stock. Groups running several properties on one design reach the higher quantity tiers quickly, where the saving climbs to as much as 35% against the fifty-piece price. Keeping every site on a single jacket rather than one per site is usually the cheaper call, and it makes the reorder simpler. Read the notes on labels and packaging before you sign off, because how the pieces arrive decides how much sorting housekeeping does on delivery day. Cartons packed by size are issued in an afternoon; fifty mixed bags take somebody a morning they did not plan for.

Quick Answers

Common questions about denim — answered.

Only if the artwork is identical. The fifty-piece minimum counts per design, so a concierge jacket and a spa jacket carrying different embroidery are two separate runs of fifty.

Production runs ten to fifteen working days from artwork approval, and delivery transit sits on top of that. For a fixed opening date, order at least six weeks out so there is room to correct a sample.

A sample costs £150 and that amount is credited against the bulk order once you proceed. It is the only reliable way to judge the wash and the embroidery on the actual fabric.

Yes. Custom woven neck labels, tear-out labels and swing tags are all available, which keeps any supplier branding off a garment guests look at closely.
