Personalised Hand Towels for Restaurants, Offices and Venues
By The Velocity Wear Team
Paper towels and hand dryers are practical. But upscale restaurants, wedding venues, boutique offices, private clinics and members' clubs often choose cloth hand towels instead, because a folded, embroidered towel in a guest bathroom tells people this place is looked after.
Size and weight
Our hand towel is 45 × 75 cm at 500 GSM. That's a generous, plush guest towel. For a basket of individual use-once towels, our face towel, 40 × 60 cm, also works well and saves space.
Individual towels vs shared
For hygiene, venues increasingly offer a basket of small folded towels with a separate bin for used ones, rather than one shared towel on a rail. It looks elegant and avoids sharing. Plan stock accordingly: one towel per bathroom visit.
Branding
A small embroidered logo or monogram in the corner or on the border is all you need. Tonal thread on white looks especially refined. For a wedding venue, the venue name or a simple crest works beautifully in photos.
Colour
White is classic and hotel-like, and can be washed hot. Grey, navy or black suit modern restaurants and hide make-up marks. Match your interior palette so towels look like part of the design.
Presentation
- Roll or fold towels neatly in a basket with the logo showing.
- Provide a discreet laundry basket for used towels.
- Check and restock during busy services.
- Replace towels that look worn; a tired towel undoes the effect.
Laundering
Wash hot without fabric softener to keep towels absorbent. Dry thoroughly. If you use a commercial laundry, confirm they'll return your branded towels rather than mixing them with pool stock.
How many to buy
Estimate bathroom visits per service, then hold two to three times that in stock to cover laundry turnaround. A busy restaurant with individual towels needs more than people expect.
Quick checklist before you order
- Hand or face size?
- Individual use-once towels or shared?
- Logo in the corner or on the border?
- Colour to match your interior?
- Laundry partner agreed?
Wedding venues and event spaces
Wedding venues host large numbers of guests on busy weekends. Individual embroidered hand towels in the bathrooms are a detail couples notice on venue tours and guests photograph on the day. Plan stock for back-to-back weekends with laundry turnaround in mind.
Private clinics and practices
Private dental, medical and aesthetics clinics sometimes offer cloth hand towels in patient bathrooms. Use individual towels, a covered bin for used ones, and follow infection prevention guidance for your setting.
Members' clubs and offices
Members' clubs, private offices and serviced workspaces use embroidered hand towels as a subtle luxury. Tonal monograms or woven labels suit understated interiors. Housekeeping should restock during the day, not just overnight.
Replacement planning
Guest bathroom towels need to look perfect. Keep a small reserve of new stock, retire any towel that looks grey or frayed, and replace in batches to keep colours consistent.
Laundry partners
If you use a linen hire company, check whether they can handle and return customer-owned embroidered towels. Some only supply their own stock, which would mix your branded towels into a shared pool.
Ordering
Hand towels start from £6.50 each including branding, with a minimum of 50 per design. Production takes 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval. See wholesale towels and our guide to embroidered towels.
