What is a hang hole for?
It lets a stockist display your product vertically. Peg hooks and slatwall arms are some of the most flexible display space in a shop, and a bag hanging from one shows its logo to the aisle. Without a hole, the same product goes on a shelf or in a basket, where stacks get knocked over and the bag at the bottom is never seen. Which products get pegged and which get shelved?

What do stockists ask for in packaging?
Requirements vary from one retailer to the next, so ask for written packaging guidelines before you order anything. These points come up most often:
- Each unit individually bagged, so stock stays clean in the stockroom.
- The size visible from the front without opening the pack.
- A barcode on the pack where the till or goods-in system scans items.
- A hang hole where the range will go on pegs, placed so the bag hangs straight.
- Consistent bag sizes across a style, so a peg or shelf looks orderly.

How should size stickers and the hang hole work together?
On a peg, a shopper sees the front bag on each hook clearly and only the tops of the bags behind it. Put the size sticker where it stays readable on a hanging bag, generally near the top of the face below the zip, and keep one size per hook if the stockist allows it. The logo then sits in the middle of the bag, visible from the aisle, and nobody has to unhook a bag to find a medium.
