Warehouse and logistics teams work in big, cold buildings, often across shifts, lifting and moving constantly. A good branded hoodie keeps people warm, looks professional to visiting drivers and clients, and survives a lot of washing.
Fabric and weight
A mid to heavy poly-cotton fleece, around 330 GSM and up, holds warmth and handles washing. Pure cotton pills and shrinks faster under heavy use.
Safety considerations
- Drawcords can snag on machinery and conveyors; many sites prefer hoodies without them.
- Hoods can restrict peripheral vision; some sites restrict hoods up on the floor.
- Where hi-vis is required, wear certified hi-vis over the hoodie.
- Follow your site's risk assessment and PPE rules.
Zip or pullover?
Zip hoodies are easier to adjust as people move between cold loading bays and warmer offices. Pullovers are simpler and tougher. Many sites offer both.
Branding
An embroidered logo on the chest survives industrial washing. A printed company name on the back helps drivers and visitors identify staff. Different colours by team or shift can help supervisors.
Seasonal and agency staff
Peak season brings temporary staff. Keep a stock of common sizes and consider a slightly different colour for agency workers, which helps with induction and site security.

Cold stores and chilled environments
Hoodies suit ambient warehouses and loading bays, but chilled and frozen environments need proper thermal and cold-store clothing designed for low temperatures. Use branded hoodies as a layer for ambient areas and breaks, and follow your risk assessment for cold-environment PPE.
Shift and team identification
Large sites with multiple shifts, agencies and contractors benefit from visual identification. Different hoodie colours for supervisors, first aiders or specific departments help in emergencies and day-to-day coordination. Printed role text on the back is clearer than colour alone.
Drivers and couriers
Delivery drivers represent the company at customers' doors. A branded hoodie or softshell with the company name visible helps customers recognise legitimate drivers and adds professionalism. Pair with a branded polo or tee underneath for warmer days.
Laundry and issue systems
Decide whether staff launder their own uniform or the company uses a laundry service. For self-launder, issue enough garments to rotate. Track issue and returns, especially with agency staff, so garments aren't lost when contracts end.
Budgeting at scale

Visitors and contractors
Large sites often issue visitors and contractors a hi-vis vest with VISITOR printed on it. Keeping staff in branded hoodies or polos makes it easy to tell employees, contractors and visitors apart at a glance, which helps site security and emergency roll calls.

A special-colour hoodie for staff reaching five or ten years' service is a simple way to recognise loyalty in a sector with high turnover.
