Senior Hoodies for the Class of 2027: Planning Guide

For a lot of high school seniors, the class hoodie is the thing they keep. It shows up in homecoming photos, on college move-in day and in the back of a closet ten years later. Class officers who start early get a better design, better prices and far fewer headaches.
When to start
Many schools want senior gear in time for homecoming or winter, not just graduation. Production takes 10 to 15 working days after artwork approval, then shipping. Add a few weeks for design votes, collecting orders and chasing payment. For fall delivery, start as soon as school starts. For spring, start after winter break.
Get school approval first
Talk to your advisor before anything else. Schools often have rules about using the mascot and logo, and about jokes on class apparel. Nothing kills momentum like getting a design voted in and then rejected by the administration.
Design ideas seniors actually like
- Big 2027 or '27 in puff print or collegiate lettering.
- The school name arched across the chest with SENIORS underneath.
- Every senior's name on the back, arranged in a clean block. This is the one people treasure.
- A left-chest embroidered year, with the big design on the back.
- Coordinates of the school or a local landmark for a subtle look.
Let the class vote, but narrow it first
Give students two or three designs and two or three colors. An open vote with fifteen options splits the class and nobody's happy. Mock the finalists up in the design studio so everyone sees them on an actual hoodie.
Collect names and sizes the right way
- 1Use one online form. Ask for name exactly as it should appear, size and payment confirmation.
- 2Share a size chart with measurements in inches. Oversized fits especially confuse people.
- 3Set a hard deadline and stick to it.
- 4Have two people check the names list against the proof separately.
Paying for it
Collect payment before ordering. Many schools run it through their online payment system or the student activities office. If your class is subsidizing hoodies from fundraising, decide that up front so nobody's confused about price.
Handing them out
Ask for hoodies bagged and labeled by name if names are printed, or sorted by size if not. Then make distribution an event: a senior breakfast, a pep rally, the first day of spirit week. Seniors love a group photo in matching hoodies, and it's the best advertising there is for next year's class to start planning early.
Keep a few extras in common sizes for late sign-ups or anyone whose size turned out wrong. It's far easier than trying to place a second order for three hoodies in March.
Fundraising alongside senior hoodies
Some classes add a small amount to each hoodie to fund prom, a senior trip or a class gift. Be upfront about it on the order form. Families generally support it when they know where the money goes.

Hoodie or crewneck?
Hoodies are the tradition. Crewnecks are gaining ground, especially with a big front design. Some classes offer both in the same design. Our minimum is 20 per design with sizes mixed, and prices drop at 50, 100 and 250, which most senior classes reach.
