50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Distributing fifty denim jackets comes down to three decisions: how you gather sizes, whether the factory bags each jacket by name, and how many spares you hold back. Collect sizes with a deadline and a default, ask for named bagging before production rather than after, and keep a few jackets unassigned for new starters and the inevitable swap.

How do you collect sizes without chasing people for weeks?

Send one form, give it a closing date, and state what happens to anyone who misses it. A default size against a name beats an empty cell, because an empty cell stops the whole order while one wrong jacket stops nothing. Denim runs closer to the body than a hoodie does, so include chest measurements next to the size letters rather than assuming everyone reads a label the same way.

If you have a sample in the building, let people try it on. The £150 sample is credited against the bulk order, which makes it a low-cost sizing exercise for a team order, and it settles arguments about whether the fit is true before fifty jackets are cut.

Should the factory bag each jacket by name?

If you are handing out to individuals rather than stocking a cupboard, yes. Named bagging means the box arrives sorted and handout is a matter of calling names, rather than four people opening polybags on a table trying to find a large. It is part of the private label side of the job, alongside woven neck labels, tear-out labels and swing tags, and it has to be specified before production.

Order the list the way you will hand them out: by department, by shift, by coach load. A bag sequence that matches the room saves more time than it costs to prepare.

How many spares belong in the fifty?

Build spares into the fifty rather than treating them as an afterthought, because a second run is another fifty of its own. A sensible pattern is to allocate jackets to named people, then put the remainder into the middle sizes where most swaps land. Those are the ones that cover a new starter in week three and the person who ordered a medium and needed a large.

Our wholesale denim jackets page shows what the pieces cost, and the pricing page shows how the tiers work if your headcount sits awkwardly close to the next one. A team of forty-two usually orders fifty anyway, and those eight spares cost less than sorting out a shortfall later.

What happens on handout day?

Keep a list and tick it as jackets go out, because an untracked handout turns into a month of people asking whether theirs was missed. Have the swap pile visible and let people exchange there and then; a jacket that fits gets worn and a jacket that does not goes in a locker. If jackets are going to more than one site, ask for the shipment split at quote stage rather than repacking boxes yourself.

If the same group also wears branded polos or shirts day to day, it is worth planning both together. The programme thinking in how offices buy corporate uniforms wholesale applies just as well to a jacket handout.

Whatever is left after handout needs a home and a record. A shelf, a box with the sizes written on the outside, and a note of who holds the list is enough; what does not work is jackets distributed between three desks and a store cupboard nobody has the key to. Write down the specification at the same time, because the person who ordered this run may not be the person who repeats it. Fabric, colour, decoration position and the size curve you ordered will be the four questions asked in a year, and they are much easier to answer now than to reconstruct later.

Common questions about denim — answered.

Personalised embroidery is possible, but it removes any chance of reallocating a jacket later. For teams with turnover, most buyers put the organisation mark on the garment and keep the names on the bag instead.

That jacket goes into the spare pile if the decoration is not personalised. It is the main argument for keeping names off the garment itself and concentrating the branding on the chest or back.

Before artwork approval, because approval starts the 10 to 15 working day production window and the size breakdown has to be final by then. Closing the form two weeks before that date is comfortable.

Yes, if you supply the grouping with the size list. Packing to your handout order is specified at quote stage along with the labels and tags, not requested once the jackets are made.
