Custom Hoodies in Bulk: A US Buyer's Guide

More than twenty thousand people a month search for custom hoodies in the US. Some want one. Many want thirty for a team, a hundred for a company, or a first run for a clothing brand. If that's you, the choices that matter aren't the ones most sites lead with.
Fabric weight, in the units you're used to
Most US blanks list weight in ounces per square yard. Most factories use GSM, grams per square meter. One ounce is about 34 GSM. Our hoodies run from 280 to 450 GSM, which is roughly 8.3 to 13.3 oz.
- Around 8 to 9 oz (280 to 300 GSM): a midweight. Good for events, schools and warmer states.
- Around 10 to 11 oz (340 to 380 GSM): the everyday sweet spot for teams and workplaces.
- 12 oz and up (400+ GSM): heavyweight. The dense, structured feel premium streetwear brands use.
Where your people live matters. A heavyweight hoodie is perfect in Chicago in January and a lot in Phoenix in April.
Print or embroidery?
Embroidery is the go-to for a clean left-chest logo. It looks sharp and lasts as long as the garment. Printing is better for big designs across the chest or back. Screen printing is the cost-effective choice for bold designs in a few colors, DTF handles full color and photos, and puff print gives that raised lettering you see on so many college and streetwear hoodies.
The combination most people end up loving: a small embroidered logo on the front, a larger print on the back.
Sizing without guesswork
Don't split sizes evenly, and don't assume everyone's a large. Send a quick form with a size chart that shows actual chest width and body length in inches. For adult men's groups, L and XL usually lead. Mixed or women's groups tend to lean M and L. Our minimum is 20 pieces per design and you can mix sizes however you need inside that.

- Decoration method, and how many locations you decorate.
- Fabric weight and extras like custom neck labels or retail packaging.

Timelines
Production takes 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval. Shipping to you is on top, and imported goods can be subject to duties, so ask a customs broker how your shipment will be treated. If you have an event date, work backward and give yourself at least a week of buffer.
