50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

A cafe rarely has fifty staff, and the minimum is 50 sets per design, so the order has to be planned across sites, across a year of turnover, or across both. At $53 a set for a hooded top and matching jogger, a small group of independents pooling one run is the route that makes the numbers work.

How does a five-person team reach fifty sets?

Three ways. A multi-site operator counts every site at once. A single site orders for turnover, holding sets in reserve for the people who will start over the next two years. Or several independents who already share a roaster place one order under one artwork, with each shop taking its share of the boxes. The minimum is what it is because a production run has a fixed setup cost, and minimum order for wholesale tracksuits explains how that is counted.

The reserve approach is less wasteful than it sounds. Sets held in a stockroom do not expire, and a new starter who is handed proper kit on day one behaves differently from one handed a spare apron.

Is a tracksuit the right garment behind a bar?

For the front of the machine, often not on its own. Most cafes run tees or polos on shift with an apron over the top, and use the tracksuit for early opens, deliveries, outdoor seating and the walk in. Our restaurants and hospitality page covers the combination, and custom staff uniforms for restaurants and cafes goes through what each layer is for.

Where a tracksuit does earn its place all day is in a roastery or a production kitchen behind the shop, where the temperature is lower and the customer contact is minimal.

What does it cost per person?

Fifty sets at $53 each is the entry price, dropping through the tiers of 50-99, 100-249, 250-499, 500-999 and 1,000 or more by as much as 35% from the fifty-set figure. Split across a two-year staffing plan, the cost per person is closer to a weekly coffee round than to a capital purchase. Colour and fabric options are on the wholesale tracksuits page.

Add t-shirts from $13 to the same artwork approval and the whole kit lands in one delivery, which is one conversation rather than two.

How long does it take to arrive?

Production runs 10-15 working days from artwork approval, before delivery transit. For a cafe opening on a fixed date, place the order well before the fit-out is finished, because artwork sign-off tends to slip while everyone is arguing about the counter.

What does matching kit do for the customer?

It answers a question people ask silently at a busy counter: who works here. In a full shop with a queue and a crowd of laptops, a matched set marks the staff instantly, which shortens the time between a customer walking in and somebody serving them.

It also makes the shop photograph better, and a coffee shop lives partly on how it looks in other people's pictures. A team in coordinated kit reads as a business with standards rather than as five people who happened to turn up.

Keep the branding small and the body plain. Cafe kit that shouts tends to date within a year, whereas a discreet mark on a dark set still looks right the next time the menu changes.

A plain body also survives a refurb. Shops change their paint, their cups and their signage far more often than they change supplier, and kit tied tightly to one interior scheme becomes the thing that looks out of place after the builders leave.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about wholesale — answered.

Yes, provided they use the same design. The minimum of 50 is per design, so a shared artwork works and separate branding does not; one buyer places the order and the delivery can be split.

Dark colourways hide splashes and hold up to frequent hot washing. Pale bodies look sharp in photographs and stop looking sharp within a fortnight of real service.

Only if you want one, and it doubles the order because each design carries its own fifty. A common set with a different apron is the cheaper way to mark the difference.

A £150 sample, credited against the bulk order, gives you one set to try behind the bar for a week. For an order that is covering two years of new starters, that is a reasonable check before committing.
