50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

Club polos usually carry a crest, one or more sponsor logos and occasionally a squad number, and every one of those is a decoration decision that has to be settled before the production clock starts. Polos begin at $18 a piece at our 50-piece minimum, sizes mix freely, and production runs 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval.

How do sponsors change the order?

They add decoration positions and they add approvals. A sponsor logo has to be supplied by the sponsor, in a usable format, with a colour reference — and chasing that file is where club orders lose weeks. Get every sponsor asset in hand before you approve anything, because one missing logo holds the whole run.

Position matters too. A chest crest with a sponsor beneath it, or a sponsor on the back between the shoulders, are both workable. Agree the hierarchy with the committee first; changing it after artwork approval means restarting the sign-off.

Can club polos carry individual names or numbers?

They can, and it is worth understanding the cost shape before you promise it. Personalisation is applied per garment rather than per run, so it does not benefit from volume in the way the base decoration does. A crest and a sponsor are set up once and repeated; fifty different names are fifty individual operations.

Collect names and numbers on a single spreadsheet with sizes against them, and freeze it on a stated date. Clubs that leave the list open until the last minute are the ones that miss the season start. The wider approach to personalised club kit is covered in our guide for clubs and societies.

When should the order go in for a season?

Work backwards from the first fixture, not from the first training session. Allow delivery transit, the 10 to 15 working day production window from artwork approval, a sample round, and the committee sign-off that sits ahead of all of it. For a club that meets monthly, that sign-off is the single biggest variable — schedule an extra meeting rather than losing four weeks.

A £150 sample is credited against the bulk order and is worth having in the room when the committee votes. A physical garment settles a decision that photographs will drag out.

What does a club order cost?

From $18 a piece at the 50-piece minimum, with the price falling by up to 35% as quantity rises through the tiers at 50–99, 100–249, 250–499, 500–999 and 1,000 plus. Clubs often clear a better tier by combining senior, junior and supporter versions of the same design into one run, which works as long as the artwork is identical — a different sponsor arrangement makes it a separate design with its own 50.

See the knits and collar options on our polo shirts page, and the wider kit picture on the sports clubs page. Clubs ordering training wear alongside the polos will find the same timing logic in our club hoodies guide.

How do clubs collect the money before the order?

Collect before you commit, not after the shirts arrive. The pattern that works is a fixed order window with a deadline, payment taken at the point of ordering, and a clear statement that late requests go into the next run. Clubs that take orders on trust end up funding the gap out of the subs account and chasing it for months.

Where a sponsor is covering part of the cost, agree in writing what their contribution buys — a logo position, a number of garments, or a share of the total — before the artwork is drawn up. Sponsorship disputes at a club are almost always about an expectation that was never written down rather than about money.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about polos — answered.

Yes. Numbers and names are applied per garment rather than per run, so they are priced individually and do not scale down with volume the way the crest and sponsor decoration does.

If the artwork is identical, yes — all sizes count towards the same 50-piece minimum. A different sponsor arrangement or colourway makes it a separate design with its own run of 50.

Vector artwork with a colour reference is ideal, since it can be scaled and separated cleanly. Ask sponsors for it as soon as the deal is agreed rather than when the order is being placed.

Allow the 10 to 15 working day production window from artwork approval, plus transit, a sample round and committee sign-off. Six weeks before the first fixture is a realistic starting point.
