50-piece minimum · Mixed sizes · We never share your details

A £150 sample set is the way to check a society tracksuit before fifty sets are committed, and the £150 comes back off the bulk invoice. You get one top and one matching jogger in your chosen colourway with your artwork on it, so the committee can see the fabric weight, the colour match between the two pieces and how the print actually sits on a body.

What does the £150 sample actually get you?

One matched set, made the way the bulk run would be made: the same top, the same jogger, the same fabric and the same decoration method. Order it through the wholesale tracksuits page and the £150 is credited against the bulk invoice when the society goes ahead, so it is a deposit on a decision rather than a sunk cost. There is no such thing as a no-charge sample here, because a made-to-order garment costs the same to produce whether one leaves the factory or fifty do.

Because tracksuits are priced per set rather than per garment, the sample is also the only honest way to judge value. From $53 a set at the fifty-set minimum buys a hooded top and a matching jogger, and a committee that has held one knows whether that is a fair swap for the subs it is asking members to pay.

When should a society order the sample?

Work backwards from the date you want members wearing the kit. Production is 10–15 working days from artwork approval, delivery transit sits on top, and the sample itself needs the same making time plus a round of committee opinions. A society aiming at freshers week should have the sample requested before the summer ends, not in the first week of term.

The other reason to move early is budget approval. Most committees have to take a spend to a vote, and a physical set in the room ends that meeting far faster than a render does. We went through the gap between the two in AI mockups versus physical samples.

What should the committee check on the sample set?

  • Colour match between top and jogger — two different fabrics dyed to one shade can drift, and the sample is where you approve the pair rather than the pieces.
  • Logo scale against the chest. Crest artwork drawn for a letterhead usually needs redrawing before it reads on a garment.
  • Cord, cuff and waistband finish, which is what members notice after a term of wear.
  • Sizing on a real body. Order the sample in the size your committee argues about most.

Write the verdict down. Whatever the sample changes — a shade, a print position, a size grade — becomes the instruction on the bulk order, and a sample approved in a group chat tends to lose those notes by October. Societies ordering leavers kit alongside society kit will find the same approvals process described on the schools and leavers page, and the fabric decisions behind the set are in the custom tracksuit buyer's guide.

Does the sample change what you can order afterwards?

No. The fifty-set minimum applies per design, sizes mixed freely inside it, and the sample does not count towards it. What the sample changes is the confidence behind the order: colours confirmed, artwork approved, sizes decided. Volume discounts of up to 35% run from the fifty-set price through the 100–249, 250–499, 500–999 and 1,000+ tiers, so a society that samples once and then buys for two years at a time pays noticeably less per set.

FAQ

Quick Answers

Common questions about wholesale — answered.

No. It is credited against a bulk order when you place one, so it comes back as a discount rather than a refund. If the society decides against the kit, the fee covers the making of the set you keep.

Yes, at £150 each. Each sample is made individually, so two colourways are two sample fees, and both are credited if the bulk order goes ahead.

Fifty sets of one design, with sizes mixed however the membership falls. A second colourway that needs its own screens counts as a separate design and its own fifty.

Yes, that is the point of it. The sample is decorated with your approved artwork in the method you intend to use for the run, so the committee is judging the finished thing rather than a blank.
