Custom Pickleball Shirts for Clubs, Leagues and Tournaments
By The Velocity Wear Team
Pickleball shirts get about thirty-six hundred US searches a month, and it's easy to see why. Community centers, retirement communities, private clubs and parks all have courts full of regular players, and players love to show which club they belong to. Leagues want team shirts. Tournaments want event tees. Clubs want merch.
Shirts to play in vs shirts to wear around
If people are playing competitive matches in the heat, a lightweight moisture-wicking performance fabric keeps them cooler. For social play, club merch and post-match drinks, a soft cotton tee is more comfortable and prints beautifully. Our tees are combed ring-spun cotton, which is ideal for club merch, social leagues and tournament keepsakes. If your event needs technical performance shirts, ask what options suit your order.
Designs players love
- Your club name with crossed paddles and a founding year.
- Retro sports-club style lettering in a circle badge.
- A playful line: Dink Responsibly, Kitchen Rules, Out of the Kitchen.
- Tournament shirts with the event name, date and location on the back.
- Division names for leagues, with player names on the back.
Colors
Pickleball has a bright, cheerful vibe. Neon yellow, teal, coral and lime all fit the sport, and they're easy to spot across courts. For club merch that people wear to lunch, heather gray, navy and soft pastels are safer sellers.
Sponsors
Local businesses, physical therapists and paddle shops often sponsor tournaments. Put sponsor logos in a tidy panel on the back. Collect proper vector logos early; last-minute blurry JPEGs slow everything down.
Sizing a pickleball crowd
Pickleball players span every age. Collect sizes individually and share a size chart in inches. Many older players prefer a relaxed fit. Offer women's and unisex cuts if you can. Our minimum is 20 per design with sizes mixed.
Tournament timelines
Production takes 10 to 15 working days after artwork approval, plus shipping. Lock the design and sizes four to six weeks before the tournament. Registration forms that ask for shirt size are the easiest way to get accurate numbers.
Club merch that sells
Keep a small range at the pro shop or front desk: one tee, one hoodie or crewneck for cooler months, and maybe a hat. Players buy them as gifts too, especially around the holidays.
Retirement communities and parks programs
A lot of pickleball happens in active adult communities and city parks programs. These groups often want shirts for inter-community tournaments or league nights. Organizers are usually volunteers, so keep it simple: one design, one color, a sign-up sheet with sizes at the courts, and payment collected before ordering. Larger print for names and a relaxed fit go down well with this crowd.
Keep the jokes court-friendly
Pickleball humor is part of the culture, and a good pun sells. Keep it friendly, since clubs are family spaces and players range from teens to people in their eighties. The best-selling jokes are the ones only players get, like kitchen and dink references, rather than anything edgy.
Pickleball brands and coaches
Independent pickleball coaches and paddle brands sell apparel to their communities. A clean logo tee and a performance-style design for league nights can build a following beyond the courts.
Order timing
Order before league season or tournaments, allowing production plus shipping.
