Ordering Joggers for Trade Show Season
By The Velocity Wear Team
Stand kit needs to be in the office a week before the show, which means ordering roughly six to eight weeks out. Production is 10 to 15 working days after artwork approval, transit follows, and the week of buffer is there so the team can try the garments on and swap sizes rather than discovering a problem in a hotel the night before.
How early does stand kit need to be ordered?
Count back from load-in day, then add the buffer week before that. Below that is transit, then up to 15 working days of production, then the approval loop, which in a company usually means marketing, then a director, then marketing again. Six to eight weeks covers all of it without drama. Anything inside four weeks means approving artwork the day it is drawn, which is how logos end up on the wrong leg.
Are joggers the right thing for a stand team?
For a technical, sportswear or streetwear audience, yes, and they photograph better than a polo in that context. For a formal sector they are a mismatch. If the stand is a long day on a hard floor, the comfort argument is real, and a mid-weight loopback in a regular cut reads as deliberate rather than casual. Keep the branding small and embroidered on the thigh if the room is corporate; save the large print for giveaway stock.

How does a team of six reach fifty pieces?
By treating the surplus as stock rather than waste. Fifty per design is the minimum, and sizes inside it are yours to arrange, so order what the team needs plus a spread that covers new starters, the next show and anyone who wants a pair. The alternative is running the same design across several events in the year, which also moves you up a tier: the discount reaches up to 35% off the fifty-piece price at volume, and the from-price starts at $22 at fifty on our wholesale joggers page.
What does the brief need to include?
Garment, fabric, cut, hem, colour reference, decoration method, placement and sizes, all in one message. Sending half of it produces a quote that changes later, which is the real cause of a missed show date. The full checklist is in briefing a supplier for joggers, and if the kit has to match an existing brand colour, read colour matching bulk joggers before you send a hex code and hope.
Should giveaway stock be a separate design?
Usually, and that means a separate fifty. Stand team kit and visitor giveaways want different branding, often different weights, and mixing them into one design tends to satisfy neither. If budget only covers one, make it the team kit: the people on the stand are seen by every visitor, while a giveaway is seen once. A £150 sample, credited against the bulk order, settles the fabric question before you commit either way, and our samples page explains the process.
Collect the team sizes properly rather than asking around the office. People guess their own size, and a jogger with a cuff is less forgiving than a polo, so a guess that works for a shirt can produce a garment nobody will wear on a stand for nine hours. Publish the measurements, let people compare against something they own, and close the list on a date. It takes twenty minutes and removes the most common reason stand kit sits unused in a cupboard after the first show.
