For joggers at a May or June event, get the order moving in March. The factory needs 10 to 15 working days from approved artwork, transit sits after that, and the artwork stage takes longer than anyone plans for. Spec unbrushed loopback rather than fleece: in warm weather the napped inside is the difference between kit people wear and kit people carry.

What is the last safe order date for a May delivery?

Take your first event date, subtract a week so the stock is checked and sorted before anyone travels, subtract transit to your address, then subtract 15 working days for the build. Whatever that leaves you is the day artwork must already be approved, which means the files were sent at least a week earlier. For a mid-May event that lands in the second half of March. Spring bank holidays sit inside that window, so count working days rather than weeks.

Lightweight custom joggers with an open hem for warm weather events
An open hem and a lighter loopback is the warm-weather combination.

Which jogger makes sense when it is warm?

Loopback. The inside stays as bare loops rather than being brushed into a nap, so the cloth breathes, dries after a downpour and does not feel like a winter garment at four in the afternoon. Pair it with an open hem, which falls straight and fits a wider range of people without anyone being measured. Brushed fleece still has a place for early-morning crew shifts and late finishes, but it should be a deliberate second design, not the default. The full comparison sits in midweight vs heavyweight on joggers.

How many do you need for a whole season?

More than one event needs, fewer than the wishlist. Fifty per design is the floor, sizes mixed freely inside it, and the tiers reward buying the season in one go rather than reordering between dates: 50-99, 100-249, 250-499, 500-999 and 1,000-plus, reaching up to 35% off the fifty-piece price. A reorder halfway through summer also means another 10 to 15 working days, which is most of the gap between two festivals. The from-price of $22 a piece is on our wholesale joggers page.

Where does a sample fit into a March order?

Right at the front. Request it with the quote in early March, approve it within a few days, and it costs you nothing in calendar terms. A sample is £150 and it is credited against the bulk order, which on a summer-long run is a rounding error against the cost of discovering in May that the fabric is heavier than you expected. Our samples page explains what arrives and how the credit works.

What usually slows a summer order down?

Colour. Summer artwork tends to be brighter, and bright references on a mid-tone jogger are exactly where approval stalls while people argue over a screen shot. Send a physical colour reference with the brief, accept that fabric is not paper, and sign off against something you can hold. Washing matters too if the kit is worn across consecutive dates, and the practical side of that is in care and washing for joggers.

Think about where the stock lives between dates, too. Summer kit spends its life in a van, a lock-up or the back of a marquee, and cartons left on a damp floor will mark the garments inside them regardless of how well they were packed. Keep the boxes off the ground and sealed until you need them, and take out only what one event needs rather than opening the whole run in May. It also makes counting what is left far quicker at the end of the season.

Common questions about wholesale — answered.

Not in an unbrushed loopback with an open hem. The heat problem comes from the brushed nap on fleece, not from the garment shape, so specifying the fabric solves it without switching to shorts.

Yes, but plan for 10 to 15 working days of production plus transit again, and the reorder counts as its own fifty pieces. Buying the whole season up front is usually cheaper and always faster.

It will be very close but dye lots do vary between batches. If the two runs will be worn side by side, order them together so they come from the same lot rather than splitting the season.

Usually yes, and that makes them a separate design with its own fifty. Crew kit tends to want a large back or thigh mark for visibility, where resale stock sells better with something small and understated. If the budget only stretches to one design, make it the crew version and sell that same garment to the public, which keeps the whole season inside a single run of fifty.
