The name comes from 1960s Britain, where young riders on stripped-down motorcycles raced between roadside cafes. They wanted a jacket without the flapping lapels and belts of the classic biker, so the cafe racer has a short collar that snaps closed, a straight zip and a fitted body that sits close when leaning forward. How should a cafe racer jacket fit?
