Charity water bottles are insulated steel bottles printed with the charity's logo, made from 50 pieces per design in 10 to 15 working days after the artwork is approved. They suit runners' packs, volunteer kit and fundraising stalls, keep water cold for 24 hours, and can carry sponsor logos too, as long as everything sits in one combined artwork.

How do charities use branded bottles?

In three ways, and each changes the order. A bottle in every participant pack is a thank-you for signing up, so the count follows entries. A bottle sold at a stall or online is fundraising stock, so it needs a finish that looks good on a table and a price you set. A bottle for volunteers and marshals is kit, often a flip-straw in a dark finish that shrugs off a muddy course.

Can sponsor logos go on a charity bottle?

Yes, as one combined artwork. The charity mark, the event name and two or three sponsor logos laid out together count as a single design, so the whole run still needs just 50 pieces. What breaks that is a version per sponsor: bottles for one sponsor's staff and different ones for another's are two designs of 50 each. Keep sponsors to a small band near the base, so the charity stays the thing people see first.

When should a charity order bottles for a run?

Six to eight weeks before the start line, and earlier if bottles go into packs posted to participants. Production is 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval, freight is quoted to your address, and packs then need stuffing and posting. The date cannot move, so guard the approval step: trustees, the events team and every sponsor may want to see the proof. Circulate it once, with a deadline.

Promotional water bottles for events sets out a full event timeline stage by stage. If the run is annual, leave the year off the design and the spare bottles become next year's volunteer kit or stall stock rather than a box of dated souvenirs.

Which cap and colour suit a charity event?

For runners and riders, the flip-straw, which works without stopping. For walkers and challenge hikes, the carry-handle cap, which hooks on a finger or a rucksack strap. For stall stock, any cap in the finish nearest the charity's own colour, whether red, pink, navy or olive, with the logo in white. The insulated steel keeps water cold for 24 hours, which counts on a long challenge day. Every option is on our charity water bottles page.

Is a bottle the right charity merchandise?

It suits charities whose supporters are active: runners, cyclists, walking groups, school communities. A bottle is a more substantial item than a pin badge or a keyring, so it works better as a thank-you or a considered purchase than as a handout at a busy stall. The two work well together, keyrings for the crowd and bottles for participants, and charity keychains for fundraising covers the smaller end. Water bottle marketing ideas has more uses beyond events.

Common questions about drinkware — answered.

Branded water bottles suit charity events with active participants, such as runs, rides and challenge walks, because an insulated steel bottle is used on the day and long after it. Charity water bottles from Velocity Wear are made from 50 pieces per design, keep water cold for 24 hours, and can carry the event name and sponsor logos in one artwork.

Sponsor logos on charity bottles do not count as separate designs when they are laid out with the charity mark in one combined artwork: the whole run is then a single design with a 50-piece minimum. Printing a different sponsor on different bottles would create separate designs, each needing its own 50 pieces.

A charity can sell custom water bottles as fundraising merchandise at stalls, events or online. An undated design in the charity's colour keeps stock saleable all year, and retail-ready cartons or a branded gift box are available. Bottles are made from 50 pieces per design and quoted per order, with pricing usually back within hours on a working day.

A charity should order bottles for a sponsored run six to eight weeks before the event, or earlier if participant packs are posted out. Production takes 10 to 15 working days from artwork approval, freight is added, and a combined charity and sponsor artwork often needs several people to sign off the proof.
