Birthday T-Shirts for Big Parties and Milestone Birthdays

Birthday t-shirts get close to nine hundred UK searches a month. Most are for one shirt. But milestone birthdays with a big crowd, like a 50th in a function room, a 21st holiday or a grandparent's 80th with the whole extended family, are where matching shirts really shine.
Is our minimum a fit?
We make 20 or more shirts per design. For a party of 30 people, a family holiday or a group trip, that works well. For a handful of people, a local personaliser is better. We'd rather be straight about it.
Ideas by occasion
18th and 21st
Tour-style shirts for a birthday holiday, a baby photo of the birthday person on the front, or a retro design with the year they were born.
30th, 40th and 50th
Vintage-style designs work brilliantly: Limited Edition 1976 or Aged to Perfection with the year. A simple design with everyone's name on the back is a nice keepsake for a group holiday.
60th, 70th, 80th and beyond
Family shirts in a nice colour with Nan's 80th on the front and the family name on the back make beautiful photos. Keep the fit relaxed and the fabric soft. Older guests will thank you.
Make the birthday person stand out
Give them a different colour or a special line like Birthday Girl or The Legend. Note that a different shirt colour or design counts as a separate design for minimums, while a different name or word on the back doesn't.
Use photos well
Embarrassing throwback photos are popular. They need to be decent quality. A photo of a photo taken on your phone in bad light will print blurry. Scan the original at high resolution if you can. DTF printing handles photos well.
Sizing a family
Mixed ages mean mixed sizes, from toddlers to XXL. Collect sizes individually with a quick form. Our minimum is 20 per design with sizes mixed, including children's and adult sizes.
Shirts that get worn again
The best party shirts work beyond the day. A clean design with a small date and name, rather than a huge joke, gets worn to the gym or the garden for years. If you want a big laugh, put it on the back and keep the front simple. Soft, good-quality cotton helps too. Nobody rewears a scratchy shirt, however sentimental.
Think about the photo too. A group of 30 people in one colour looks striking in a wide shot. A group in five different novelty designs just looks busy.
Surprise parties
For surprise parties, collect sizes quietly through a trusted family member and have shirts delivered elsewhere. Hand them out before the birthday person arrives.
Kids' birthday groups
Large children's parties or sports club birthdays can order matching tees in children's sizes.
Checking the proof
Double-check names, ages and dates on the proof. A wrong age on a milestone birthday shirt is a memorable mistake.
Timing
Allow at least four weeks: 10 to 15 working days after artwork approval, plus delivery. If the party is a surprise, get shirts delivered to someone other than the birthday person.
